Seeing Color Through Infographics and Data Visualizations

Seeing Color Through Infographics and Data Visualizations | Education & Numérique | Scoop.it

Color is a crucial part of our visual experience.

It indicates many things in our lives, from the ripeness of a banana, to how someone is feeling, to which subway line we should be on.

Not everyone sees colors the same way, and colors have drastically different meanings in different cultures, but one thing we all have in common: color is important. These visualizations all show us different things about colors.

A History of Social Media [Infographic]

A History of Social Media [Infographic] | Education & Numérique | Scoop.it

The very purpose of the Internet (every blog, website and virtual gathering place within it) is to let people connect, communicate, and collaborate.

That said, the concept behind Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social networking tools isn’t new. These sites just give us new, easy-to use ways to do what we’ve always wanted to do online — exchange ideas and information. The Internet has always been social, and it always will be.
Here’s a handy timeline that might dispel any further historical myths about the true nature of the Internet, and where we’re all going with it, together…
