Displaying Temperature/Humidity on a I2C LCD  We were already playing around, as seen on my tutorials below, with the Temperature/Humidity sensors DHT11, DHT22 and LCD1602, without I2C possibility. There were a lot of cables to connect, we will try out this time to use a LCD with I2C bus connection as it uses less cabling (wiring)!

An 8×8 dot led matrix is a very interesting device because with proper instructions the individual leds or any group of leds can be programmed to fire. This characteristic, plus the feature that up to eight modules can be daisy chained, forms the basis for a nearly endless series of visual effects. Here we discuss the very basics of working with one MAX7219 dot led matrix module. A simple sketch is provided that creates a ‘smiley’ followed by a simulation of a bouncing ball.

Stillschweigend hat Arduino den Bootloader für die Nano-Boards Anfang 2018 ausgetauscht. Wer sich ein neues Original-Board kauft, kann eine unangenehme Überraschung erleben.

Meistens benutzen wir in der Redaktion die billigen China-Kopien der Arduinos. Als wir jetzt allerdings Mal wieder einen mit FTDI-Chip brauchten, um etwas auszuprobieren, bestellten wir einen originalen Arduino Nano und kamen kurz ins Straucheln.
