Solid demo for CF, the social intranet of Florida-based church community Christ Fellowship. It does not look like Office365, but it has references to it so I think it has been based on this. Content, community, collaboration and culture, that is what this intranet is about. Sounds good! It is also accessible on smartphone. Uploaded May 2016.
Yammer teaser for the Controller's Office of the Republic of Colombia. It shows the usual benefits of cross-departmental real-time collaboration and also contains a short social media policy: no discussions on sensitive topics and no bad language or inappropriate images. Uploaded April 2016.
I like the image of the Russian Matrushka Dolls depicting the transition from many intranets into one, for at least 20.000 employees (in Marketing & Sales alone). Of course this intranet is personalized to your profile, has a social component, and is very time-saving. I wish I knew which company this is, but I have been unable to find out. Uploaded April 2015.
Nice retro-Pink Panther style video, remarkably similar to the one from the Neo Baptist Clinic: http://sco.lt/5JviM5 Both for employees and consultants this intranet has a ton of forms, events and other useful materials that a recruitment and personnel services agency will need. It does not look very social, but it just may not be shown. Uploaded February 2016.
Details on our secure members only network for Pagans, Witches and Spiritual people / groups
Ellen van Aken's insight:
Interesting teaser for the Yammer network of UKWitch, a network of witches, pagans and other spiritual people. The video features all the usual reasons to join Yammer, such as the ability to share materials and create special private groups. I assume this is a Yammer external network, because UKWitch is not an organization that employes people and gives them an email address. Yammer external networks have some specific features that I will blog about shortly. Uploaded April 2016.
Hm, sharing a video and not allowing embedding appears to be the new norm these days. Annoying! But you know the routine by now: just click "Watch on Vimeo". Short and sweet teaser for the new social intranet of German-based TV and media corporation ProSiebenSat.1 MediaSE. Thanks to Volker Grünauer for bringing it to my attention! Uploaded January 2016.
This video for the University of East London comes in two flavours. This has a milder soundtrack than the other one and looks like it is more for staff, and geared towards projects and collaboration with externals. Keywords: share, collaborate and accessibility. Nice clean design. Uploaded March 2016.
Another video that does not like being embedded in a browser - I wonder why, because it is a lovely animation in a style that I do not see very often in this collection. Curious? Click "Watch on Vimeo"". Apart from the login, this intranet for the City of Vincennes (France) is totally modern: accessible on all devices, collaborative, can be personalized and has org charts and everything you need for your everyday work. Uploaded March 2016.
This is a rather generic teaser for the new Digital Workplace of MottMacDonald, a global Engineering Consultancy firm originally from the UK. The video features the general benefits of Office365 rather than specific benefits for the company but this means it is quite re-usable for other companies that do not want to invest in a video. Uploaded March 2016.
Welcome to the RVUSD Intranet, a central clearinghouse of RVUSD resources, created for RVUSD teachers by RVUSD teachers!
Ellen van Aken's insight:
Amusing (because overacted) video for the Google-based intranet of this elementary school in California, USA. The familiar story: people can not find relevant information fr their job, but with the intranet, they can! Approaching the intranet is not that easy - it is hidden as a bookmark in the Chrome browser. The design is extremely simple with just (nice) icons. It contains "documents and links", according to the texts - nothing is shown. But there is a blog! Uploaded May 2016.
In dire need of a more efficient intranet, Beacon has developed a platform to save its people from headaches and vast fields of incomplete profiles. Prepare yourself…
Ellen van Aken's insight:
Movie-inspired trailer for the new intranet of Beacon Health Options, a health care organisation in USA and UK. I love the shots from the movie(s) that are woven in - if you know this movie please let me know! Based on Office 365, it is meant to have everything in one place and save you time. Interestingly, they also invite people to become a champion. Uploaded April 2016.
Cheerful teaser for the new intranet of the Lincoln Laboratories, a part of the Massachusett's Institute of Technology, USA. Apparently they have learned from their previous intranet, because "they" have listened and now provide better collaboration and information that is easier to find. Clever use of typography. Uploaded February 2016.
Compact & soundless teaser/demo for the social part of the intranet of Trudeau Corporation, a Canadian manufacturer of household goods and kitchen utensils. In 30 seconds you get an almost compete demo. I had to watch it a couple of times, but then I do not read French very quickly. Uploaded February 2016.
This video for the University of East London comes in two flavours. This is the upbeat "student" version, focusing on content, collaboration, community, clarity and communication (5C's, cool!). This is the general content that is accessible to all staff and students. Uploaded March 2016.
It appears I can no longer edit the titles in Scoop.it, so from now on I will mark any non-English videos directly under the video instead of in the title. Happy teaser for the new intranet for fruit and soft drink company Orangina Schweppes. The intranet is called Shake (nice!) and looks very colourful and zesty. It focuses on marketing and sales, because it is advertised as containing brand information. It also has all kinds of more generic work-related info and applications. It is accessible on all devices and contains a social element as well. Uploaded March 2016.
Gorgeous design and music. As a demo, this is a bit on the long and boring side, but listening to the very subtle changes in the music makes this video appear shorter than it is. (Although I can imagine that not everyone will like it).
Governance Consultants is a Spanish-Colombian company that helps businesses with corporate governance, audits and similar processes. It is no wonder that the intranet contains mainly information about policies, procedures and manuals. I also see a mention of Yammer in the menu, otherwise it looks pretty static. I totally love the "graphics bank": beautiful models and icons, for use in reports, I expect.
The intranet has the same simple but stylish design as their website.
Being a food technologist, I quite like this "recipe for a new intranet" for an online education provider in the hospitality and culinary business. I am not sure if "Policies" are a tasty ingrediënt, though :-).
