My I-Search 2nd draft was fun to do actually, I found out a lot more than I did the first time but I would like to find out even more. My biggest discovery is that 96% of people who tan in a tanning bed before the age of 25 will develoop skin cancer at some point in their lifetime. I just cannot believe that. Well, I believe it, it's just scary.
To Do list:

My research agenda (oct 23-30) for I-Search Paper.
1. Look at new and old trends in detection of skin cancers.
2. Look at new and old treatments in:
a. skin cancer
b. skin protection
c. skin protection (with in your body)
3. Explain my stories. Elaborate on my stories more, more detail.
Explain my story on the dermotologist (my visit)
4. Include more on UV radiation getting worse.
5. Work on in text citations
6. Correct grammar.
7. Interview my aunt on her skin story.

My I-Search Question is: What is the likelihood of me developing skin cancer?
My I-Search paper is about skin cancer. It was a repeated question I constantly asked myself. I worked at a tanning bed and would see many many people walk in with skin problems. The more I saw it, the more it worried and questioned me. In my paper, I would like to get more information about what types are out there, how they develop, if they are reversible, and so on. I will be using the web, book, articles, and possibly interviews.
Rachel Hitch's insight:
My audience is anyone questioning their skin. Whether if it's they are worried, or if it is in their family history. Plus, I would like for everyone to know what they are risk for.
My purpose is to inform others about skin cancer. Hopefully to change people's mind on what to do to help and protect their skin.

Due to their regular observation of their clients skin, massage therapists may be in a unique position to observe changes that may indicate formation of skin cancers.

This may help consider what is and what is not skin cancer.
In my presentation, I would like to engage the audience emotionally so they understand my topic. By doing that, I will have together a zeega or possibly a Haiku Deck. I am going to also include good stories, and an interview if not a youtube video over dermatologist appointments. I would like to bring food as well such as Oj and chocolate because those help prevent skin cancers.
