The 10 iPad projects included in this post are from a presentation at ISTE 2013. Some of you may know of TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) for their detailed list of iPad apps. This post will provide you with 7 projects for students in elementary school, using a variety of iPad apps. Some of the projects listed are: * Research and Explore, Create & Publish a Media Rich Text * Create a Digital Puppet Show to Retell a Story * Create Visual Illustration of Fractions There are also four additional projects including: * Build a QR Talking Museum You can also view the presentation presented at ISTE (pdf download). And if you have not seen the great spreadsheet of iPad apps mentioned above click on this link: http://www.tcea.org/ipad.

G'day Olga and greetings from Downunder on the bottom in the middle. That's how I describe Adelaide to colleagues in the USA and Europe :-) Wow Russian that's awesome, may I see it please. Let me know if I can help further. Maybe we can meet on SKYPE. Also I don't think your translation work will be wasted howevert there is a modified Version 3.0 out which is even better. Please visit http://tinyurl.com/padwheelposter3 This is a PDF designed to be an A3 poster as well. All the apps are also linked and it uses QRcodes for scanning by phones etc. You may also find this blog post helpful - please have a look at the Edudemic post http://ow.ly/lKJcK Do contact me if you have any questions. Could I be bold and suggest you translate the entire poster all the content is helpful I believe. I can provide you with a Keynote file (for MAC) which will make it easier. Regards Allan

I've posted the translation in my blog, here is the link to the post http://pedagogland.ru/ispolzovanie-it-v-sochetanii-s-taksonomiej-bluma.html
The picture is linked with your pdf file at http://www.unity.net.au/padwheel/padwheelposter.pdf, and there is another link in the text to your article in your blog http://www.unity.net.au/allansportfolio/edublog/?p=324 I laid out the translation of the contents of the wheel into the spreadsheet with some short comments (primarily concerning the SAMR model and levels of IT use in school education - column 1) and added a few apps and online services with a few links to some brief guides (the last column, for the teachers who are probably not familiar with some of them yet :) as iPads are not widely used at our schools yet (maybe in the nearest future), so apps for desktops or laptops are more actual for us by far. That's great that you gave me the link for the P_Wheel 3.0, thank you! Right, motivation along with graduate features should be in the core of the wheel. I'd be happy to translate the entire poster, thanks for the suggestion, the problem is that I don't use Mac. What can we do here? my email: olga@dohnsco.com Best regards

I saw the author of this philosophy and rubric as ISTE in Denver a few years back. Really great thoughts! Thanks, Jenn!

Graphite has just been launched by Common Sense Media. If you have not used resources from Common Sense Media it is worth your time to check the site out. They are an ad free site with a focus on education. This new website will help you find digital learning products that have been rated by "professional educators – early childhood development experts, doctorates in education, and teachers with hands-on classroom chops." What will you find at this site? Information about websites, games and apps, with ratings "based on our detailed rubric that scores each product on 15 dimensions. Plus, we tag each product for subjects, skills, and grade band and map them to Common Core and other state standards." You can become a member for free and have access not only to Graphite, but also to many other great resources!
