And if 1 million kids in the US are sickened - what about the rest of the world? I know it's unscientific, but extrapolating from US flu death figures - 40 000 a year vs 400 000 worldwide - that means 10 million+ cases a year worldwide MINIMUM, mostly in the developing world. Of whom far more will be seriously ill and die, given medical care in ddeveloping countries is poor. We really, really need some vaccines.
