~Use the File > Export > Dynamic worksheet as webpage (html) option.

~Select Advanced

~Select the GeoGebra features you wish to include

~Change File: html to Clipboard: html and click Clipboard

~You now have the code for an applet in yoour clipboard that holds all the GeoGebra features you selected.

Use an iframe to embed the online dymanic website using this code --

Using an Object Target type question. I added 3 types of questions. All you do is download and copy them as directed. [Caution: 2 people have complained that when using Chrome, they could not get target to move.]

Suggestion: Object Target requires that the image be at least 90 pixels height – so if like me you are using a toolbar, I extended it transparently to 90 pixel height.

Dave created this applet in response to the question: How do I add the diagonals at any instance? (Ans: The diagonals can be constructed using nested Sequence commands, as follows: Sequence[Sequence[Segment[Vertex[poly1, i], Vertex[poly1, j]], j, i + 2, n], i, 1, n - 2]. Note that Vertex[poly1, i] denotes the i-th vertex of poly1, counting from 1.)

The code for drawing the diagonals in his applet is:

Ctrl+Shift+M copies the code to the clipboard in both versions, but in GGB 3.2 - you just don't get the feedback message. In PBworks, as a writer or editor, when editing a page select Insert > HTML/JavaScript, paste to code in the window, then Next and Insert Plugin, and Save. [If you do not see the GeoGebra applet I expect it is a firewall issue, blocking the Java code.]

There is an alternate way to get the Java code in the clipboard. This also works in 4.0RC. Nicholas (Nick) Bennett has posted a screen cast showing how at http://screencast.com/t/X4OZ5PaprFx9.  The first part of the video shows how to get the code. The latter part deals with embedding in wikispaces.

If you use GMail you can set up a filter so that all messages from the forums go automatically into a folder or are deleted. What is nice about this is that once you set up the filter you can have it work retroactively--moving/deleting the many e-mails you may have already received.

To set up the filter do the following:

(1) In Gmail click on the settings icon (gear) in the top right corner and select 'Mail Settings'.
(2) On the settings page select the 'Filters' tab near the top of the page.
(3) Near the bottom of the page click on 'Create a new filter'
(4) Fill in the appropriate criteria--for this course I went to 'Has the words' and typed in GGB101 Forums. Since all of the messages from the forums have those words in the first part of the message. Also, this way you will be less likely to miss the very small number of messages that tell you that Linda has feedback on one of your assignments, or that someone has messaged you through the course.
(5) Next in that top area of the page click on the 'Test search' button. It will show you all of your current messages that will fit the criteria you've set.
(6) Then, in the same area click on the 'Next step' button.
(7) Now you choose the action that you want GMail to take when it filters out a GGB101 message. I chose 'Skip the Inbox (Archive) it'. You may choose to have the messages deleted. It's up to you.
(8) If you would like Gmail to perform the filter on messages already received then check the box that says 'Also apply filter to __ conversations below' (found near the bottom of where you create the filter).
(9) Finally, click the 'Create Filter' button.

The 'create a face' task used in this workshop, is a great way of getting students, of all abilities, familiar with the tools and learning about reflection.

Second suggestion -- use GeoGebra to create a Fibonnaci Spiral and showing how website design uses this spiral (unknowingly - good designs just seem to fit naturally into the spiral) for visual effect.
