In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, schools across Minnesota have switched to distance learning for the time being. As a result, children of all ages have access to and are using electronic devices at an unprecedented rate. This dramatic increase in time our children spend online creates a target-rich environment for child predators who use various online methods to sexually exploit our children.

"In 2019, 89% of URLs known to contain child sexual abuse material were hosted in Europe, compared with 79% in 2018.
Of all the content found by the IWF, 71% – the equivalent of 93,962 URLs – was hosted in the Netherlands. This was an increase from 2018, when the Netherlands was found to be hosting 47% of all known child sexual abuse material.
The Netherlands has become a target for hosting child sexual abuse material due to its strong internet infrastructure, which makes it an easy place for any internet company to operate, offering low-cost hosting services, the IWF said.

A Florida man who was caught downloading thousands of images that contained either child pornography or child erotica said he viewed the graphic content as a “boredom killer” even though he knew it was wrong and he hated himself for it, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Baby, a business referred to by the abbreviation JK, or joshi kosei, meaning high school girl, billed itself as offering massages by girls in uniform. However, a separate menu featured services allowing customers to take the employees out for a stroll, which led to the provision of sex, police said.
