A Georgia gun shop owner has reportedly decided that he can't in good conscience continue to run the store with the knowledge that the weapons he sells could one day be used to target children, NBC News reports. 

A new CNN special on Sunday by Shimon Prokupecz revealed new video footage not previously made public of the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting. 

A Brookfield man has been charged in the Tuesday shooting of two boys, ages 12 and 16, outside a library in West Garfield Park. Police charged Adam Avizius, 37, with one felony count of aggravated battery for allegedly shooting the two children outside the Legler Regional Branch Library, according to the Chicago Police Department. 

The grandson of Andrew Lester, the man who shot 16-year-old Ralph Yarl after he rang Lester's doorbell, told CNN's Don Lemon on Thursday that he had regularly heard his grandfather make racist comments.

A man has been arrested after he shot two teenage cheerleaders in a Texas parking lot after one allegedly mistook his vehicle for her own, CNN reported. One of the teens was rushed by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition. The other was treated at the scene. 

Twenty-one people died at Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022. The mass shooting and delayed police response spurred calls for stricter gun laws.

Khloie Torres was the 10-year-old who repeatedly called 911 on the day of the Uvalde mass shooting. "Please hurry. There is a lot of dead bodies," she told the dispatcher. She took blood from some of the other students and smeared it all over herself to make it seem like she was already dead. 

As the number of school shootings rises in America, most recently at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, the amount of hoax threats has skyrocketed too – and they're traumatizing students.

Police are searching for a man from Gastonia, North Carolina who allegedly shot a 6-year-old girl, her parents, and other nearby people over a basketball that rolled into his yard, according to Queen City News.
