In an effort to improve its response to domestic violence and better support victims, the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) launched a specialized unit aimed at tackling these complex and often recurring cases. The Domestic Abuse Response Team, or DART, was created in December 2022 and is made up of 30 specially trained officers.
