How can you use iMovie in the classroom? Well, you can use it for just about ...everything from slow motion videography to documentation, to presentations

Amanda Grayces insight:

This is my example of: "Use of productivity and/or creative software"

"Do you think the integration is effective?  Why or why not?"

I do believe this has an effective use of technology integration. They are taking a program called imovie, which can be used on an Apple computer, laptop, or tablet such as the ipad and giving students the tools to put together presentations, or incorporate self taken movies into their learning and assessment process.

"In what ways does the technology use support the learning?"

It gets children invovled, hands on and promotes independence through the technology. Children can build a presentation to share with their classmates, or the teacher may make a video of the students sharing or doing a project and the students are able to watch it back and learn from seeing themselve and others on the movie. It also helps them understand the coorelation between the technology they are using and what they are doing in the classroom, and the many ways that they can bring the two together.

"Use the NETS-T and other course materials to justify your analysis."

I believe this can match up with the NETS-T #1, which states that 0."Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments. "

Physical Education, Meet Video Games | Compass Learning Navigator | Technology in the classroom | Scoop.it
As a result, many schools are feeling pressure to ensure their students get adequate exercise and healthy meals, which has recently caused an innovative meshing of video games and the physical education curriculum.

This is my example of : "Use of hardware/devices "

"Do you think the integration is effective?  Why or why not?"
I think this is effective because it is helping to get kids doing something in which they are required to do (physical education) but in a non tradtional way. It is also able to reach more children who may not enjoy or participate fully in the traditional sports and gym activities offered in school.

" In what ways does the technology use support the learning?"
This technology supports learning because although it seems like a game to the children, they are actually learning different ways to participate in physical activity. These are tools that children can use and incorporate into their everyday lives and hopefully use to keep themselves healthier both in and out of the classroom. Children are able to learn different outlets, such as dancing that can be used for exercise, and they are able to learn new exercises or dance moves that they can build off of when they want to exercise out of the classroom. They are also learning how to use the technology such as the Wii which is promoting technology education.

"Use the NETS-T and other course materials to justify your analysis."
This seems to go best with the NETS-T #3 c whcih states that "Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats."

"Do you think the integration is effective?  Why or why not?"
I think this is effective integration because it brings a proram that was stricly on a classroom computer, to a mobile device and ipad that can be used both in and out of the classroom, and give the children to learn how to use the program in a new way.

"In what ways does the technology use support the learning?"
It supports learning by taking an education program that the children are already required to use, and making it more accessable using a technology device in the classroom. Each student will be able to learn to use the program on their ipad and independly use the program without being on a computer. This might make it more engaging for the student, and encourage them to do more reading so they can use the program on their ipad.

"Use the NETS-T and other course materials to justify your analysis."
I believe this goes along with the NETS-T #2 a which states

a." Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity "
