It certainly is a rainy day, in Le Botanique, and very Zen. A lovely, quiet place to sit and enjoy the magnificent landscaping and decorations, of which 75 % has textures using the materials enabled option, making it look breath taking when in a darker windlight setting!

I would introduce the photo gallery Flash Back of my friend, OiMax Alex. The sky gallery is set above the nice bar in a wood. The first and second floors are for the exhibition and the third might be a photo studio. There is no visible wall but you do not need to worry about falling down while strolling around.

Archetype11 Nova, currently using the name Lex Machine, recently opened his latest region design on his Full private region of Solveig. Entitled The House That love Built, it is once again a most eye-poppingly imaginative design that completely captures the visitor’s attention and holds it with a fascinating mix of art nature, the expected and the unexpected that is both marvellous witness and difficult to describe.

I recently got the tip from Sharon Hinterland (owner of the Otter Lake region) to take a look at the "HAUS Museum of Art" . When Strawberry added this museum to the highlights from the Destination Guide last Friday, I took a look at it.

Second life Destination Guide: The HAUS Museum of Art is a public, non-profit art museum that everyone can enjoy. A perfect place for a late night get-together, with monthly live music events, exhibitions of classical art, modern art, couture, SL art, blogger art, music and game art. There are hundreds of curated pieces that are changed quarterly at champagne and vernissage. The Background: Cyraphir had flirted with the idea of opening her own art gallery for a few years. The idea grew into a full-fledged museum in early 2020 when the world was changing and we all needed something to keep our minds occupied. You could say this museum was born out of the need to focus on something beautiful. Or maybe there was nothing good left to watch on Netflix. Pick something. The museum opened in January 2021 after many months of hard work. With the exception of some classic works of art, the exhibits are changed regularly. Make sure to join the event group for any future updates Stay a while.Loitering is encouraged."

There are a number of excellent vacation resorts in Second Life, where you book in advance and get a group tag on check in. Unfortunately there are far fewer hotels I've been able to recommend that look and feel like their RL equivalents, and where just like in RL you can meet people at the bar or restaurant even if you are not staying there. As a result I was really pleased to discover the brand new Plaza Hotel. The Plaza has literally just opened, and Muti and myself were one of the first guests.

"Sheba Blitz is a RL and SL artist who exclusively paints Mandalas. Mandalas are ancient and mystical symbols of the universe. And represent the way of the "peaceful path". Classically in the form of a circle (the Cosmos) enclosing a square (Earthbound matter). Sheba's Mandalas generally contain what is called a quarternity or a multiple of four. This squaring of the circle is a common archetypal image of wholeness and order. Mandalas are perceived as sacred spaces and remind the viewer of the immanence of sanctity in the universe and its potential to themselves. On Saturday, February 27, the Home & Garden Expo 2021 starts for the 14th time in Second Life. This is also the start of the 2021 mega-events season, which also includes the Fantasy Faire, SciFi-Con and the Releay weekend. The owner of Kawaii City and Cafe and the affiliated skyboxes is Naru Darkwatch . The landing point in the city is at one end of the only street that is framed by the buildings. I think the city is reason enough to take a look even without the skyboxes. There are a lot of good graphics on the house walls and some of the smaller buildings can be accessed via very narrow stairs if your own avatar is not too big.

It’s been a year since Caitlyn and I last visited Gnaaah Xeltentat’s Florence at Low Tide. As that time, the region offered an early spring setting with a lean towards the Mediterranean in some of its styling. As we’re heading back towards spring, and needing a break to compose thoughts on another blog post I’m working on, I hopped back for another look and see what early 2021 has brought to the region.

For my simploring tour on Saturday morning, February 6th, I picked Chateau de la Marliere from scoop.it SL Destinations. The entry led to a blogpost with just a few pictures that really looked nice. What tempted me in addition was, that there wasn’t any other post about Chateau de la Marliere so far. Chateau de la Marliere is built on a half full, moderate region.
