Avoid Overthinking Decisions With These 7 Easy Tips

Avoid Overthinking Decisions With These 7 Easy Tips | Sales and Marketing Savvy | Scoop.it
Indecision is unproductive--follow these steps to more easily decide a course of action.
Gary Hitching's insight:
I subscribe to the notion of imperfect action or the 85% rule which prevents procrastinating, and hence improves productivity. Simply put, if you wait until you are 100% sure of something or a task that needs to be actioned, you will rarely make progress. If you are comfortable that 85% is good enough to move forward, you can always improve if needs be. A good example is a website. I've known clients to take far too long launching because they're looking for perfection. The delay has cost them significant amounts of business and lost opportunity. Hopefully, the tips in this article will help you to overcome indecision.

Banks switch from phone menus to robot advice

Banks switch from phone menus to robot advice | Sales and Marketing Savvy | Scoop.it
Few household chores are as infuriating as spending an age on the phone to complain to your bank, recover a lost password or answer some minor financial query.
Gary Hitching's insight:
This highlights the problem of how big corps no longer value their customers enough to provide a human service. Although AI will be positioned as making their service as convenient and streamlined as possible, the reality is that they're only focused on cost savings. Most people are very happy with a friendly, professional and well trained agent handling their call. Sadly, this is becoming the exception to the rule.
