A drone company has developed a method of stringing power lines using a hexacopter. This method allows for safer implementation in areas with less resources and rough terrain. The method also allows for less harm to the environment (ex: less deforestation). This is an interesting physical application of drones.

This is another perfect application for a UAV. I think it will have a positive impact on environment because there won’t be heavy trucks bouncing down a road, it will be a UAV not touching or trampling nature. I must admit though; power line roads make great dirt bike trails. It would be sad to see more prime riding disappear.
