Recycle Tennis Balls For Tennis Court Construction - How & Where  /Ace/Laykold

Recycle Tennis Balls For Tennis Court Construction - How & Where  /Ace/Laykold  | RecycleBalls News | Scoop.it
How and Where to Recycle
Tennis is a very popular game worldwide. As a result, the amount of tennis equipment manufactured to satisfy the needs of the masses is significant. The amount of tennis balls produced each year is even larger. Around 360 million tennis balls are manufactured each year and they hold a very short lifespan.

What happens to these balls once they get old and discarded? Ever wondered? As the materials in tennis balls are non-biodegradable, 20,000 tons of wastes are developed from these discarded balls. Most of the waste ends up in landfills, contributing to degrading our environment.

These used balls can now be recycled and incorporated into a tennis court. You can help mother earth from being polluted and keep her green by recycling your used tennis balls.

If you want to recycle your tennis balls, you are just a few steps away. Just follow the steps below:

Our partner, Recycle Balls, makes it simple.

Visit  Recycle Balls and Get Free Labels: Tell them how many balls and boxes you have and they will email you a label.
Ship: Drop of your boxes or schedule a pick up.
Receive Tax Deductions: They will email you a receipt as soon as you shipment is received.
Isn’t it easy? Or if still you are facing problem, Please contact Ace Surfaces

We are currently working on setting up collection sites for used tennis balls across the U.S.

Do you want to help with recycling efforts in your tennis community? You can become a collection site for used tennis balls. Send us your locations address, contact person and website and we will put your information in our database of collection sites on our website.

WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE! | RecycleBalls News | Scoop.it

This has been an amazing year for our RecycleBalls partner network. We started 2018 with 150 partners and are now at 680!

Our network continues to grow nationwide and is making a difference in our communities nationwide Since starting this non-profit, we've already kept over 1 million tennis balls out of our landfills!

Did you know it costs approximately $600 a year to fund the QUICKSHIP program in one facility?  RecycleBalls is currently 90% self-funded and relies on donations to sustain our efforts. Please consider MAKING A DONATION  so that we can become sustainable.

With your help, we can make recycling the only way to dispose of a tennis ball in this country.

With your tax deductible donation, we can:

  • Cover our operating costs and become sustainable in 2019.
  • Expand our partner network to thousands of new tennis players & facilities nationwide.
  • Fund  a “first of its kind” tennis ball recycling line.
  • Develop new green products sourced from tennis balls.

Currently, our non-profit is self-funded with Wilson helping support our operations. We now have a goal to raise $130K to finance a new recycling line and see 20 million tennis balls recycled over the next 3 years. We have invested nearly two years in full R&D on a self-funded basis to develop a process that will remove 99% of the felt in a cost-effective manner. This extensive research had us in consultation with dozens of manufacturers and processors nationwide. Our new expanded line is slated to be operational in late October/early November.
