The openness of social networks like Twitter or the ability to find an expert on LinkedIn, might make you think that this is territory already covered. But how much do we really openly share our own ideas? Unless you are hanging around New York and run into a photographer called Brandon (Humans Of New York), you are unlikely to be asked the questions that get you talking about your own ideas and knowledge in depth. Can Qanda be the app to get people asking those questions? The use of mobile video in responses aligns with the rising trend in young people watching and sharing content from mobile devices. It’s also well established in journalism circles as one of the best approaches in interviews to get real, meaningful responses....

Once at an earlier company, my boss asked me this: “how could he keep in touch with the latest and the best social and marketing tools out there?” While many of us may brush that aside as “generation gap”, it’s actually difficult for everyone given the sheer number of tools that are brought to the market each day, here is an old twitter tools for business list we created.
My favorite way to know which tools to test and use is usually by following Twitter experts or blogs and then testing them. While every tool has a USP, you need to find out what works best for yourwork conditions! Here are a few marketing tools you’re perhaps not using. Start now!...

Content curation is the process of discovering, collating, and presenting content relevant to a particular topic. The function of content curation and content creation is similar since both aim at using content to engage target audiences on social media.
Content creation allows you to create and share original articles or information with your social media followers; curation refers to gathering content on a specific topic, which has already been published by others.
Content creation lets you share exclusive and original content with your followers which can include promotional and non-promotional content.
A successful social media marketing strategy includes the use of original content, curated content, and general statements. According to TA McCann's 5-3-2 rule, for every 10 posts that you share on social media, 5 of them should be curated from external sources, 3 posts should be original (not necessarily promotional), and 2 posts should be general, non-work related, to help humanize your business....

A study investigating the psychology of social media sharing indicates that people share because they want to make valuable content accessible to others.
When your audience members scrutinize your social media content, they form an opinion about your brand based on what you put out there, and they determine whether to share you content with their own audiences.
The buzz and engagement your Facebook page or Twitter account enjoys in the days or weeks following its launch may die down pretty quickly if you cannot supply consistently high-quality, share-worthy content to your community. Thankfully, content discovery tools are available to help marketers maintain a high level of engagement on social media....

There is no one-size-fits-all secret tool combination for personal branding success. The main reason I haven’t blogged about all my tools is because I use A LOT of tools. And, I don’t believe any tool is the one perfect tool that does everything. On that same note, I don’t believe every person should use the exact same tools in the exact same way. Not to mention that tools and social media platforms are changing so rapidly it’s hard to stay up to date with all the features and functions.
With all that being said I decided to breakdown the tools I use into different sections and provide you a quick overview of each tool that I use. Please note: just because I use it doesn’t mean it’s a perfect fit for you. Rather I hope that you take away from this post knowledge of the variety of tools you can leverage and some great tool recommendations I suggest you check out and test for yourself....

Newsreader app Guide is no more… well, at least in its current form.
The company that once aimed to help consumers better digest the news with a video channel of websites read by its lovable avatars has been reborn as a service for publishers. It’s still focused on the news, but has evolved into a platform that provides online sites with inexpensive quality videos, which may have been originally thought of as being too far out of reach. The new service launches today.
What publishers receive from the reborn Guide is technology that will turn any news article, like the one you’re reading now, into a video. The company says that its process will “auto-generate” multimedia videos in a way that is “inexpensive, fast, and at scale.” Prior to launch, the service had already been in use on 270 sites. Guide claims that the average click to play rate was 19 percent, while the average completion rate was 47.8 percent.
Guide intends to monetize its service through standard fees for voice-over work and advertising inserted into videos placed on a publisher’s website. In addition, it will license its technology through a SaaS offering where publishers can pay per video and on a CPM rate....

No communication channel is hotter these days than chat apps, but they are also among the hardest for marketers to tap. To help brands address this opportunity, London-based startup BetterBrand this week announced its initial product, a chat app marketing platform. At the moment, CEO Asaf Amir told me, the platform is available as a managed service, although it will be released as a self-service cloud platform within a couple of months. He added that it will be the first self-service marketing platform for multiple chat apps that is not tied to a specific industry or platform. Other chat services, he noted, include travel industry chat service Pana, enterprise-focused Kore and Imperson, which is designed for character-based bots on specific apps...

Back in September 2014, it was estimated that there are now overone billion websites on the internet, with that number increasing every second. With so many sites out there, it can be extremely difficult to locate a resource that will actually fulfil your needs and help you with your projects or inquires. Fortunately, the list below features over 100 websites you can use for almost any creative project, intellectual research or simply for fun!
TallTweets lets you write tweets longer than 140 characters, and Tubemogel.com allows you to upload video to multiple sites at once, including Youtube. Wordle.net helps to summarise large pieces of text by creating a word cloud of the most common words, and Wolframalpha will answer almost anything immediately so you don’t have to rummage through Google.
