Call for Participation: Information Disorder Workshop
Does your work explore misinformation, disinformation, scams, online hate, or other forms of harmful information? As the world continues to grapple with the destabilizing effects of information disorder, we are convening a workshop at the CSCW conference to bring together a global community of scholars committed to understanding and addressing these issues.
This workshop will provide space to reflect on the current state of the field, identify shared priorities, and discuss how we can support one another in sustaining this vital work. Participants may join online in early October or in person in Bergen, Norway on October 18th.
We are soliciting 2-6 page workshop papers from empirical pre-quels/sequels, position papers, theories, provocations and more.

J'ai demandĂ© Ă ChatGPT quels Ă©taient les biais qui l'empĂȘchaient de donner une information objective. Je vous partage sa rĂ©ponse, trĂšs intĂ©ressante et Ă bien garder en tĂȘte.
đ§ 1. Biais de formation (training bias)
Je suis entraĂźnĂ© sur d'immenses quantitĂ©s de textes issus d'internet, de livres, dâarticles, de forums, etc. Cela signifie que :
- Je reflÚte parfois les opinions dominantes de ces sources, pas forcément la vérité.
- Je peux reproduire des stéréotypes ou des partis pris culturels, économiques ou politiques présents dans ces données.
đ§ 2. Biais de neutralitĂ© apparente
Je suis conçu pour paraĂźtre neutre, mais cette neutralitĂ© peut ĂȘtre trompeuse :
Quand des enjeux sont polĂ©miques, je vais souvent chercher Ă Ă©quilibrer artificiellement les points de vue, mĂȘme si lâun est manifestement plus fondĂ© que lâautre (ex : climat, vaccins).
Cela peut donner lâimpression que tout se vaut, ce qui nâest pas forcĂ©ment juste.
đ 3. Biais de cadrage (framing bias)
Ma réponse dépend fortement de la maniÚre dont la question est posée :
Un mĂȘme sujet formulĂ© diffĂ©remment peut amener des rĂ©ponses trĂšs contrastĂ©es.
Je tends Ă adopter le cadre logique et Ă©motionnel de ton message, mĂȘme si ce cadre est biaisĂ©.
𧩠4. Biais dâomission
Je ne peux pas toujours savoir ce qui manque dans ma réponse :
Si une information est absente ou peu présente dans mes sources d'entraßnement, je peux passer à cÎté de points essentiels.
Je peux aussi ne pas insister sur les incertitudes dâun sujet, mĂȘme si elles sont cruciales.
đ 5. Biais de sĂ©curitĂ©
Je suis programmé pour éviter les sujets violents, haineux, sensibles ou jugés à risque. Cela peut me pousser à éviter des vérités dérangeantes ou à édulcorer certains contenus.
𧟠6. Biais de simplification
Je vise Ă rendre les informations claires et digestes, ce qui mâamĂšne Ă :
- Simplifier Ă lâextrĂȘme des sujets complexes.
- Donner lâimpression que des sujets ambigus ou incertains sont tranchĂ©s.
đ€ 7. Biais algorithmiques internes
Certains éléments sont liés à mes paramÚtres internes :
- Je privilégie parfois la cohérence stylistique ou narrative au détriment de la rigueur factuelle.
- Jâai aussi un biais vers les rĂ©ponses « utiles » ou acceptables pour l'utilisateur, parfois au dĂ©triment de la prĂ©cision.

After Dark: Atmospheres, Temporalities, and Embodied Practices of Nighttime Tourism
Iâm proud to announce the launch of a special issue that I am leading as Guest Editor, dedicated to exploring how tourism is shaped byâand shapesâthe night.
As Coordinator of the International Night Studies Network, my work has long centered on the multiple ways nighttime becomes a critical space for cultural expression, urban transformation, and affective experience. In this issue, I am joined by my colleague and co-editor Dr. Jordi Nofre (Coordinator of the LXNights Research Group), with whom I share a deep commitment to advancing Night Studies as a vital field of inquiry.
This special issue invites contributions on a wide range of nighttime tourism practicesâfrom light art festivals and queer nightlife to astrotourism, nocturnal wellness, religious vigils, night diving, and night safaris. It aims to offer new insights into the rhythms, atmospheres, politics, and aesthetics of tourism after dark.

"Les outils d'IAG (LLMs) sont incapables de reconnaitre les Ă©motions humaines đ± đ đ„č". Dans cet article rĂ©cent (21 mai 2025), les auteurs ont examinĂ© si les LLMs peuvent justement rĂ©soudre et gĂ©nĂ©rer des tests d'intelligence Ă©motionnelle. Les rĂ©sultats montrent que ChatGPT-4, ChatGPT-o1, Gemini 1.5 flash, Copilot 365, Claude 3.5 Haiku, et DeepSeek V3 surpassent les humains pour cinq tests standards d'intelligence Ă©motionnelle, atteignant une prĂ©cision moyenne de 81%, comparĂ©e Ă la moyenne humaine de 56%.
