Spotify is building in-house tech that responds to a listener

Jordan McCray's curator insight, October 16, 11:13 AM
I found this to be intriguing. Headphones that can  play sound from pretty much whichever direction you're facing. That is clever. It gives you that right up in your face type of feel, like you're a part of whatever you're listening to. This gives us a New ways of looking at music, like how can we give consumers that real life sort of feel when they listen to our music. I think Spotify just opened doors to that pondering question.
Heaven Flores's curator insight, October 18, 7:25 PM
Being  someone who uses Spotify on the daily I love that this new feature is coming out! By them planning on enabling "A media playback system" it will allow Spotify music artist to upload music with ultimately a higher quality sound. I feel like this source is accurate as well because this isn't thirst time I've heard of this update nor do I have a reason to not trust the MusicBuisnessWorldWide website after using it as a source in the past. For anyone who uses Spotify on the daily like me and is also a Spotify music artist this Definitely some helpful information.

Super Hi-Fi Hopes to Change Streaming Audio Using AI

Super Hi-Fi Hopes to Change Streaming Audio Using AI | New Music Industry | Scoop.it
It is the automation of this art, once the preserve of skilled radio DJs, that Super Hi-Fi is bringing to the digital music industry. In doing so, the L.A.-based company thinks it can help music services and artists make more money, and give listeners a new and improved way of experiencing audio.
Day Collins's curator insight, October 19, 9:56 PM
I agree that "It is the automation of this art, once the preserve of skilled radio DJs, that Super Hi-Fi is bringing to the digital music industry. In doing so, the L.A.-based company thinks it can help music services and artists make more money, and give listeners a new and improved way of experiencing audio." The industry of music is changing and is an ever revolving door allowing depictions of creativity from all walks of life and technology. Sound waves are one of the main ingredients producers possibly look for to make sure their artist projects are being in the best possible audio definition out there, and with tech individuals coming up with new era ways to make this happen it seems the future of audio in music and the way people will hear it will continuously change.

The content Kevin spoke of relates to me because I truest want to be an independent artist..He also speaks on how he realized that it wasn’t about the money it’s about the craft of creativity. The way he supports The Black Lives Matter is Also an important activity to stand with the community when tragedy has struck is outstanding
Tino Blake's curator insight, November 18, 6:34 PM
Kevin Liles interview was very inspirational an eye opening! I am a artist myself, and what he talks about how he changed up to being in the business of music was enlightening!

I feel the same way he does, for example, i want to be in charge, and call the shots, but i need to work with people that makes the decision i make,  the right ones!

I'm in the position now where, i'm older in my music career, and i want freedom also, i hope this path i'm on will afford me the opportunity to have that freedom.

It's not about the cars, and money, i mean it is, but having that freedom to do what you want, when you want, is awesome. Also giving yourself of service to the world, and knowing you have a voice to change certain things in the world has great respect!

Musicweek i do believe is an industry standard for professionals, and is a great solid source for inspiring information.

How J Balvin Made His Trippy, Eye-Popping Halloween Concert in Fortnite - The New York Times

How J Balvin Made His Trippy, Eye-Popping Halloween Concert in Fortnite - The New York Times | New Music Industry | Scoop.it
The video game has become a music venue as the pandemic continues to keep live shows off the road. The Latin pop star put his own colorful spin on the experience.
Josh Jordan's curator insight, November 10, 1:25 PM
His headline caught my attention;

“The video game has become a music venue as the pandemic continues to keep live shows off the road”.

How true is that?  I couldn’t agree more.  I thought this was such a great idea by J Balvin, Latin Pop Star.  He made an appearance on the very popular game “Fortnight’.  While it appeared to be filled with many moving objects etc, it was really taped with a green screen and tons of special effects.  He played a 13 song, 38 minute concert while the game was playing and being watched by millions and millions and millions of people!  That’s one way to get your music out there during this pandemic! This article was written by yet another very reliable source, The New York Times.  The New York Times is a newspaper based in NYC and is a credible paper.  Some say they also lean a little left-center.

RIAA Unveils Mid-Year 2020 Latin Report: 'Streaming Is Helping Sustain The Industry' | New Music Industry | Scoop.it
A new report by the RIAA shows that Latin music revenues in the U.S. increased 18.6 percent in the first half of 2020. Read the other findings on Billboard.
Jordan McCray's curator insight, October 16, 9:55 AM
Album sales are always up and down, this is a new way to sale albums. Online streams play a major factor in the music industry. In this century everything is done on the internet, which can give almost anyone access to your album or anything else you want them to have access to. I think as technology develops, we'll continue finding easier and more accessible ways to get our music out efficiently and effectively.
msbankston15@gmail.com's curator insight, October 17, 11:25 PM
My thoughts on this post are very similar to a conversation that I have before seeing this article. I feel as if the pandemic artist is not going to be able to do events and or videos to pull in new audiences and keep old ones. Right now they are dependant on pure talent and fan bases,
G Braynt Salgado's curator insight, November 15, 11:43 PM
Up almost 20 percent in revenue for streaming in the first half of 2020 is great news for us Latinos in the music industry! Especially since we cannot do shows and tours due to the pandemic.

The source here is billboard and it is a relatively reliable source for information based on their track record and brand integrity to provide unbiased facts most of the time.

Artists definitively find this as a reliable resource and can use the website to check their ratings on the charts as well so this is a viable source.

I believe that artists find this to be a viable source as well, many great writers and editors work for Rolling stone and the magazine is something multitudes of people are familiar with.
