John Kavanagh confirms baby's name and the unique meaning behind it - Irish Mirror Online

John Kavanagh confirms baby's name and the unique meaning behind it - Irish Mirror Online | Name News | Scoop.it
Explaining the name, Kavanagh posted on Instagram: "Conall - "Strong as a Wolf".

"A Celtic name borne by many legendary Kings and Warriors of Ireland.

"One of them was the Ulster hero Conall Cearnach. "Conall of the Victories" who avenged Cúchulainn's death by killing Lugaid.

"Middle name John from the Icelandic tradition of surnames usually derived from the father's name.
Clare's insight:

Welcome, Conall! (Surely the middle name Johnson would be a closer way to honour Icelandic patronymics, though? Like Archie Harrison.)
