Look what I've just found: a directory of Greenlandic names! Don't be put off by the language (though why would you? It's really cool) - the site helpfully says whether the names are male, female, or both, and if you click on the names in bold, many of them have an interesting cultural/linguistic explanation in English. ![]() " These are the most popular names for Greenland from 2001 to 2010."
Clare's insight:
How interesting to read these lists: the names range from the Danish-influenced, like Hans and Isabella, to (what I assume are) Greenlandic names like Minik, Pipaluk, and Nivi.
