Carol Mortensens insight:

With Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT) becoming the norm in schools everywhere, this program is a great addition to the resources to take advantage of the technology.  It's 100% safe and very simple.  Imagine the benefit in reminding students of upcoming tests and projects due dates.  One big plus is the ability to allow parents to opt in to receive messages, too!  Students benefit from the reminders and you spend less time searching for kids work and more time doing what you should be doing....teaching!

MeetingWords: Realtime Collaborative Text Editing

MeetingWords: Realtime Collaborative Text Editing | MyWeb4Ed | Scoop.it

Here's a great idea.  The next time you are attending a meeting, you, along with your peers, can take notes that are saved on the web.  Your group can edit the notes together and changes are instantly shown on everyone looking at the notes.

There's the ability to chat while taking notes and have an ongoing backchannel discussion regarding the event or presentation.

There's no sign-up or cost either, making it easy to begin to create your text.

Super idea for BYOT and BYOD activities!

What Teachers + Educators should learn about BYOD

Gust MEES:

Most of articles, blogs and Tweets witten by educational people are showing the advantages of "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) and they embrace very well BYOD, which I do also; but...

There are some more things to consider such as:

- A BYOD Policy in the campus, school...

- Prepare for BYOD in your organization

Read my complete curation about it here:

===> Read and learn also about IT-Security, YES that is a MUST in 21st Century in Education, especially when using BYOD: <===

Learn also about eCitizen, Digital Citizenship where Teachers should stay there as good example and knowing about their responsability:

Responsability as eCitizen for the Government, be a good patriot and know how to defend your Government against Cyber-Attacks and Cyberwar, why and how?

===> The above mentioned must be included in Education and especially when using BYOD, read these blogs and curated articles and you will understand that they are a MUST ;) <===
