The Stem Music Program has poured $100million into artist royalties for when they monetize their music. Youtubers, Music Producers, and bands all collect royalties when they release music.
Suave's curator insight, September 20, 7:45 PM
I think stem music distribution is doing the right thing, which is taking care of artists royalties. Artist lose tons of money and royalties every year to labels and contracts, they need people like STEM MUSIC. This article was written on the Forbes website which is a very high class company, also a very reliable source. This article is a good article for artist who are having problems with getting their royalties in the industry, it shows hat there people out there willing to help.

Stem Music has raised over $100 million paying royalties to indie artists and also fighting equality and justice for artists in the music industry. Stem Music is gaining support in the industry and social justice platforms.

Independent artistry is gaining more support in the industry as the years go on.
Day Collins's curator insight, October 19, 10:04 PM
I think this article is one of the most important within the music industry to support the injustices of human beings. Standing on its word and advocacy to support independent artist and other racial injustice issues within the industry including discrimination's and other like topics that raise awareness to the issues in the forefronts of our society today. I like the fact this platform raises royalties for artist and does not hesitate to disburse their coins as they work hard on their crafts and it matters that they be recognized for it, even if local or independent etc...

Here's More Evidence That YouTube Music Is Merging With Google Play Music

Here's More Evidence That YouTube Music Is Merging With Google Play Music | Music Hot Topics | Scoop.it
Rumors abound that Google will be merging its YouTube Music and Google Play Music.  Now, a redesigned YouTube Music supports those claims.

Via Pierre Priot
Shawn Fox Jrs insight:
Many many people use YouTube music as their main way of listening to music. Since Youtube music is merging with google play music, if they charge a subscription fee then maybe many people will not like the merge. As me being one of the youtube music users I like to use that platform as a good music listening app for when im working out and stuff./

This could be great for YouTube because in recent years YouTube has gotten a lot of flack because of them taking down music and videos for copyright content and some of the content people own. I have never heard f digital music news but there information is reliable. Not sure if this is a major source for the audio industry.
Kenya Kidd Mathews's curator insight, December 15, 2019 10:36 PM
This is pretty cool. I like the idea of youtube and google collaborating. I think this will be big especially if there will be less ads.
Romeo Taylor's curator insight, January 26, 5:42 PM
I don’t think this is major information to the industry but I do agree with the facts given. Given that YouTube has video and audio, pictures and messages, and different genres of music, movies, show, skits and more, Spotify only has music. YouTube is more visual and straight to the point it even has lyrics in words or sign language for people who can’t hear where as Spotify is strictly for music only.

Deal includes release of new music and film projects…

Shawn Fox Jrs insight:
my opinion on this article is that the partnership is going to be difficult. Daddy yankee is a big time latin music star who has had many partnerships but has only given partners a small oppurtunity. The new music and new partnerships always ahve a way of getting the artist into expanding their music into other palces!

I am happy for daddy yankee, as someone who grew up listening to his music, this is a big achievement for him. The source is reliable it was written by Murray Stassen posted on September 10, located on the music business worldwide website . This article shows that no matter how long it takes if you put enough work into what you love to do, you can make it.
