For music to be so powerful it’s dope to see someone who started from the low points and work up to the top of the food chain. Nas really shows if you work hard you can be more then just national you can become known around the world and can collaborate with other people who share the same love of music.

I chose this article because this is a first ever in hip hop, and I think it could be huge for the industry.

Stem Music Startup Drives Social Change Plus $100 Million In Artist Royalty Distributions | HomeGrown Artist | Scoop.it
Stem music distribution and payment platform recently raised $10 million in new funding and, since its 2015 launch, has paid out $100 million in royalty payments to independent artists using the platform.

Via Midem Team
Sean M Beys insight:
I really like how they take care of their artist by making sure they get the royalties they deserve
Day Collins's curator insight, October 19, 10:04 PM
I think this article is one of the most important within the music industry to support the injustices of human beings. Standing on its word and advocacy to support independent artist and other racial injustice issues within the industry including discrimination's and other like topics that raise awareness to the issues in the forefronts of our society today. I like the fact this platform raises royalties for artist and does not hesitate to disburse their coins as they work hard on their crafts and it matters that they be recognized for it, even if local or independent etc...
Edward Brown's curator insight, November 10, 8:47 PM
Social media is still keeping the independent artist with great royalties.
G Braynt Salgado's curator insight, November 15, 11:56 PM
Stem really focuses on providing opportunities in the music industry for independent artists as well as supporting huge movements such as BLM and others.

The fact this article is on Forbes, aka one of the most successful and popular platforms of financial information, should say it all.

I'm sure artists know to trust this website for information that is accurate and up to date.
