Movie remakes fire up the question: remake or a re-imagining?
In many cases, the film director and writers want to shoot a different angle, something maybe more subtle or perhaps a new version of the story. Remakes are best approached this way in order to present something fresh to a new audience and the classic original’s uber audience.
What are your thoughts on the reviews? I agree with the Halloween remake being an unique twist on the tale and thus worked. A scene for scene remake as the filmmakers did for Let Me In would have upset all horror fans to the pits of their stomachs.
