This article describes how an analysis found that Fox News had spread misinformation 253 in five days from July 6th to July 10th. Through this misinformation, Fox News politicized public health measures, and emphasized reopening despite public health concerns. This analysis also points out that companies such as Amazon, Kraft Heinz, Pzifer, and Verizon are leading sponsors of Fox News, helping the spread of misinformation and attempting to increase Trumps chance of being re-elected. It is interesting to look back on this now in October, and wonder just how many people still undermine the importance of following public health measures or simply believe coronavirus is a hoax because their only source of news comes from Fox and from reporters who constantly spread misinformation such as Laura Ingraham.
