Four years after the first International Crop Modelling Symposium in Berlin (iCROPM2016), crop modelers from around the world will meet at the iCROPM2020 Symposium in Montpellier (France), 3-5 February 2020, to exchange on advances in crop modelling and identify challenges and new opportunities for future research.

iCROPM2020 will focus on recent improvements and applications of crop simulation models to better support agricultural production and food security under global change. All types of crops and cropping systems (arable, grasslands, intercrops) and world regions will be considered, including high and low inputs systems,
with relevance for large agricultural enterprises to smallholder farmers.

Un premier salon national de l’agriculture et de l’innovation se tiendra du 1er au 3 octobre prochain dans la wilaya de Tizi-Ouzou, a-t-on appris mardi auprès de la chambre locale d’agriculture (CAW), organisatrice de l’événement.

L’objectif principal visé par ce salon est la modernisation de l’activité agricole et l’amélioration des rendements, grâce à l’innovation et au recours aux nouvelles techniques de production, d’économie des ressources, de management entre autres a indiqué à l’APS, le commissaire de ce salon et membre de la CAW, Abdelghani Benali. L’idée est de créer des passerelles entre les agriculteurs et l’université pour profiter des travaux de recherche de cette institution productrice d’innovation.

Des communications traiteront de thématiques liées à l’économie de l’eau et à l’énergie, le management et les nouvelles méthodes de gestion des exploitations agricoles pour produire plus et à moindre coût et faire des bénéfices pour les producteurs et toute la chaîne de valeur.
