10 Tips on How to Write a Mega Hit Article on LinkedIn

10 Tips on How to Write a Mega Hit Article on LinkedIn | Linkedin for Business Marketing | Scoop.it
Do you ever feel that social media were created just to distract, stress, and overinflate each of us? Struggling with content overload, and struggling to make your voice heard? Let’s face it,
Peg Corwin's insight:

I'm thrilled that one of my clients - Theresa Sullivan - wrote one of these top posts.

Here's my assessment of her success:

1.  She published in the right place - she wrote about careers on Linkedin, a locus for such topics.

2.  She said controversial things that hit emotional cords.  Some people loved it and others were angry.  Both encourage shares.

3.  She was connected to influencers in her niche. She used to work at Linkedin, so people with high visibility in the area of careers shared her post.

4. She wrote from the heart, using humor and irony.  Her personality came through.

5. She used a list format, with numbers in the title. Lists often perform better than non-lists.

6. Luck. The right people saw the post and shared it with the right people.

Can you copy some of these elements to get visibility for your writing?

Introducing LinkedIn Elevate: Helping Companies Empower Their Employees To Share Content | Linkedin for Business Marketing | Scoop.it
Peg Corwin's insight:

Linkedin has a new product called Elevate which is available by invitation only now and will be widely available by Q3.  The company says:

“...when a LinkedIn member shares six pieces of content, on average, they receive six profile views and make two new connections, which helps them strengthen their professional brands. At the same time, the company they work for receives six job views, three Company Page views, and one Company Page follower, which helps them better hire, market, and sell.”  And “LinkedIn Elevate features powerful analytics for employees and companies.”

How do you empower your employees to use social media?

C. Todd Livengood's curator insight, April 20, 2015 9:59 AM

Building loyalty should be every company's goal and building trust is an essential element. It should be easy to understand that people connect with people more than with companies, so it should follow that companies need to enable their employees to make those connections.
