Would you use a flying school? | Learning with MOOCs | Scoop.it

Virgin Australia is now giving its passengers a new type of in-flight entertainment and it is much more productive than gluing your eyes to a classic Disney movie.

The airline is becoming Australia’s very first flying school and short courses are being offered for weary flyers to become more skilled.

You can kill up to 400 hours with Virgin’s in-flight movies, music and television shows, but Open Universities Australia education programs executive manager, Jose Herrera Perea, believes studying is a more compelling way to pass the time.

Passengers in January will have the option to study the art of photography while February travellers can concentrate on financial planning.
