De temperaturen gaan omhoog, dus is het weer tijd voor een lekkere, frisse pastasalade. Dit maal met bresaola erdoor. Bij de Lidl lag dit aan de lucht gedroogde rundvleessoort nog in de schappen, dus toen ik dit recept zag, heb ik vlug nog een pakje in huis gehaald. In het recept stond 100 gram bresaola, maar het pakje van de Lidl bevat maar 80 gram. Genoeg vond ik, maar wil je meer, dan kan dat natuurlijk ook. Geniet van deze salade met wat brood en een goed glas witte wijn.

(Her e's a reminder.) Well, according to WDW News Today, that space-themed arcade restaurant will be brought to life in the California theme park's Tomorrowland this April.The restaurant's full name will be Alien's Pizza Planet—A Better Place, referring to the Little Green Men's mantra that they go to a better place when they're captured by the claw machine. And while the park itself is being pretty hush-hush about the new eatery, we're willing to bet that a similar arcade game will be featured in the restaurant's decor.

Een flink aantal gerechten uit de Romeinse cucina povera of armenkeuken zijn in heel Italië en ver daarbuiten te vinden op de menukaart van menig restaurant. De pasta alla carbonara is daar ongetwijfeld één van.De ingrediënten zijn: pancetta, pasta, ei, zwarte peper en pecorino romano. Sommige kookboeken voegen nog een scheut room toe maar dit is echt niet de bedoeling.Letterlijk vertaald betekent de omschrijving van dit pastagerecht: pasta op de wijze van de kolenbrand(st)er. Maar de meningen over het ontstaan van dit gerecht zijn verdeeld, zoals wel vaker het geval is. Laten we ze allemaal eens op een rijtje zetten.De meeste bronnen situeren het ontstaan van de pasta alla carbonara op het einde van de tweede wereldoorlog. Tijdens de bevrijding van Rome door de geallieerden werden de Romeinse koks geconfronteerd met de typische Amerikaanse legerkeuken en ingrediënten als spek en eieren. Het lijdt geen twijfel dat in die dagen de Romeinse restaurants door de Amerikaanse troepen overvloedig bezocht werden en zij hun wensen kenbaar maakten.
