How Jules Verne Invented Astronautics

How Jules Verne Invented Astronautics | Jules Verne News (english) | Scoop.it

Dallas : last day for Journey to the Center of the Earth | Jules Verne News (english) | Scoop.it

Journey to the Center of the Earth” is another one of The Pocket’s infamous popcorn tossing melodramas. Based loosely on the novel of the same name by Jules Verne, it is a story of intrepid adventurers who travel deep beneath the surface of the Earth to discover a race of Amazon Women. Will our fearless explorers be killed or fall deeply in love ? Both are distinct possibilities in this melodrama of high adventure !

On stage through may 17, at Pocket Sandwich Theatre, Dallas.

Jules Verne, or Captain Nemo: Or Jules Verne AND Captain Nemo! | the Weekly Dictator

Jules Verne, or Captain Nemo: Or Jules Verne AND Captain Nemo! | the Weekly Dictator | Jules Verne News (english) | Scoop.it

And I know, for an absolute fact, that in a 500-page edition of The Mysterious Island, Captain Nemo will not be called by name any earlier than page 452. I’m not sure whether I should be more angry at Jules Verne or at Wikipedia. Read more...
