Walking the packed grounds of the San Mateo County Fairgrounds this past weekend with my son to attend the 10th anniversary edition of the Bay Area Maker Faire, I couldn’t help thinking I was seeing a vision of the future.

I was toying with writing about the landforms in Goblin Valley after the hearing of vandals destroying part of this gorgeous landscape. Differential erosion is the key to making these formations as a resistant cap protects some of the softer rock underneath. As an avid mind mapper, I would like to add the following apps to the growing list: ThinkBuzan.com's iMindMap HD; Mindjet Maps; MindMaple, and iThoughts HD. Also, MindTools HD for the iPad (see mindtools.com) is a suite of tools covering a wide range of essential skills for students and workplace professionals alike.

great, thanks Rick I will have a look at some of those! Evernote and Notability are my two personal faves, My students love Popplet for mind mapping and they draw a lot using Notability.
