This intranet also needed an update, according to the voice-over, and indeed, this new version looks very crisp and modern. You can personalize news, find colleagues easier, have interactions with colleagues, and the Search "has been improved". Of course! :-)
The idea is, that if you can do your work faster, there is more time for customers. Which is a good starting point if you are a health care Insurance company.
Mit der Einführung von Connect startet Kaufland eine neue Ära der Zusammenarbeit im Unternehmen. Transparenz, soziale Kompetenz und Kommunikation auf Augenhöhe…
Ellen van Aken's insight:
Connect is the name of the new intranet for Kaufland, a German supermarket chain. It looks a little like a PowerPoint that has been turned into a video, with lots of text and no sound, so I am a little puzzled by it. But I understand that they now can have more collaboration between colleagues, information is easier to find, and that there is a lot of new functionality being developed. "With Connect, all doors in the company are open". Nice one. Uploaded January 2017.
Hm, sharing a video and not allowing embedding appears to be the new norm these days. Annoying! But you know the routine by now: just click "Watch on Vimeo". Short and sweet teaser for the new social intranet of German-based TV and media corporation ProSiebenSat.1 MediaSE. Thanks to Volker Grünauer for bringing it to my attention! Uploaded January 2016.
This is intranet 4.0, according to the people at Asfinag, the responsible party for motorways and expressways in Austria.
Another example of an improved intranet with better search, a new design and more user-friendliness, created after asking feedback from employees.
The design looks nice and clean, with an app store like Office365 (but icons are different) and options to comment and give feedback. It is not a top-down communication tool.
I am a little surprised by higher management asking employees to use the intranet in 2015; I would imagine that any intranet is an essential part of doing business by now.
Mit der Konzeption und Realisierung des neuen Intranets hat Namics eine effiziente und auf die Kundenbetreuung optimierte Informationsplattform für die Luzer...
Ellen van Aken's insight:
OK, this is more of a project video, and it is very much a showcase for the agency, but it was nice to have another entry from Switzerland, it is SharePoint, you have some screenshots AND they have won the Nielsen-Norman Best Intranet Award in 2013, so I thought 'd publish it.
It describes the project, the starting pojnt and benefits. Various people and roles talk about their part and about what they think of it.

Ellen van Aken's insight:
This is more of an interview about the intranet, (reasons behind it, content, plans) than a straightforward launch or promo video. In the first few minutes you will see parts of the very nice design. Beautiful header, and very suitable for a church!
This intranet is for all subsidiaries of the Evangelical Church in the State/Province of Palz, Germany. Uploaded november 2010.
After the short animated introduction, this video turns into a demo. It is in German, with (German) subtitles.
The intranet needs log-on, which is a little strange seeing that otherwise it is quite modern.
You enter on Home, which is your personal page. Corporate News knows its place: it is a tab in the main navigation. There are a glossary, wiki's, team spaces, profiles, local language, targeting, tagging, and lots of work tools.

Awesome non-linear demo video about the intranet for Airbus, called The Hub. I like the colour coding, but also the fact that you can choose which item you want to watch. There's global news with comment and like options, dedicated search on dedicated pages, communities (including a Help Community) and a dashboard that you can personalize. It is quite slow and long, and the music gets irritating after some time, but I really like this. This is not from the regular channels, so I do not know when exactly this has been uploaded, but it is from 2016.
Another video that does not like being embedded - never mind, just click "Watch on Vimeo".
The video starts with two employees brainstorming about the benefits of being able to collaborate faster and better without email - it would free up time to their real work. They end up with the name Compass, which of course is an excellent name for the intranet of a travel agency.
A short demo follows. I quite like the easy videochat options.
Uploaded December 2015.
They have another interesting "user story" of the social intranet here: http://sco.lt/8mzbkH
This is an introduction to the SharePoint 2007/2010 intranet of the Swiss Red Cross. It is mainly used for document management. They also have FAST Search which can search various platfoms, which is a real benefit for employees.
This is a mix of animation and people interviews, to prepare employees for the new intranet for Enactus Germany. Most people in the video are talking about "IT", "SharePoint", but not much about the "softer" aspects of an intranet.
It will be based on Office 365 and will be very helpful for projects, and the advantage is that you will have everything in one place, and everyone will be able to connect with others. You know the general benefits of any intranet these days :-)
Enactus is an international non-profit organization that brings together student, academic and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.
This has been launched on March 22, 2014 and uploaded a few days before.
Kurzer Überblick über die Funktionen und die Handhabung der einzelnen Module.
Ellen van Aken's insight:
Extremely functional intranet, extremely consistent in look and feel, and extremely boring in design and presentation. It is 4 minutes but it seems to go on forever. All is in German. Swistec creates solutions for ripple-control.
