Integrated Marketing - What is it and Why is it Important? | IMC Discussions - Go Team! |
Integrated marketing is a word we hear thrown around quite often, but what is it and why should we care? What exactly do we mean by integrated marketing?

The biggest point made here really boils down to the creation of online marketing. It wasnt that long ago that we were only just starting to get computers into homes, now online marketing is everywhere and part of ost peoples day to day lives. But really what this artical is getting at and basically what Intergrated marketing is, is the use of both offline and online marketing together in order to reach a much larger mass of consumers

exactly, the role of IMC is well prepared and maintain a planning process that can be adjusted from time to time based on markets changes. I totally believe that company will be very successful when messages are deliver intergratedly it must also be direct to the right audiences of consumers at the right time and right place.

What I really like about this the most is that not only is it explaining their use of consumer engagement it is using a very engaging video to do it. They are thinking slightly outside the box. I think the most relevant points are that there are so many more points of contact with the consumer these days compared to 30 or ever 10 years ago and these need to be embrassed. As they said its a rapidly changing world and companies need to come up with new and innovative ideas to engage the customer

Consumer engagement is the resulting impact of a brand interacting with consumers through of a variety of marketing initiatives. The goal of consumer engagement is to create meaningful consumer impact and generate either a behavioral result (such as driving a sale or inquiry) or an attitudinal result (such as making an emotional impression or changing attitudes).

Why Brand Building Is Important - Forbes

Products have life cycles. Brands outlive products. Brands convey a uniform quality, credibility and experience. Brands are valuable. Many companies put the value of their brand on their balance sheet. The best branding today is based on a strong idea. The best brands have remarkable creativity in advertising to help them break through people’s wall of indifference to create brand heat and product lust. I believe that building brands now requires a cultural movement strategy as opposed to simply a brand building strategy. A cultural movement strategy can accelerate your brand’s rise to dominance.

Keller(1993) The differential effect of brand knowledge on consumer response to the marketing of the brand. Brand awareness and brand image as the constructs related to costumer-based brand equity and effective communications enables the formations of brand awareness and brand image. Again, McDonald's can be used as a good examples as they have focus on their goals.

i reckon brand managment is your reputation, and what people think of you, matters. Your character, as a person or a company, is all you have, so value and protect this above all else. i reckon this is shown in the old spice commercials with terry cruise .
