Join us at the 2023 British-Iberian Bioelectronics Workshop (BIBio-e) on the 17th of February of 2023 at the Pavilion of Knowledge of Lisbon to learn how!

This workshop will host top scientists from the UK and the Iberian Peninsula to share their work and address future challenges in bioelectronics with a session dedicated to early-career researchers. BIBio-e will also feature a session dedicated at elucidating a roadmap for our bilateral cooperation and competitiveness in this area to address major societal challenges. BIBio-e is organised by Frankie Rawson (University of Nottingham) and Paola Sanjuan Alberte (Instituto Superior Tecnico) with the support of the BBSRC Bilateral Research Fund.

iBB held its Annual Workshop with the participation of 150 researchers and students. On past Friday, September 23, our community contributed with a rich and diversified program. Invited speakers, selected oral presentations by young researchers, and keynote lecturers from senior members and founders of Biological Sciences, Prof. Isabel Sá Correia, and of Biophysics, Prof. Manuel Prieto, at IST, made this event.

Progress in the field of protein folding requires a close dialogue between simulation and experiment. The workshop "Integrative Approaches to Protein Folding & Aggregation" aims to bring together computational and experimental scientists with scientists doing translational research in order to foster the dialogue between the three communities so that novel and integrative approaches can be developed. The workshop will take place on June 11-12th 2019 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL). The workshop Smart Valorization of Macroalgae for Food, Feed and Bioplastics will take place in the framework of a national project “SMART SEAWEED“ funded by FUNDO AZUL. (DGPM). This workshop was co-organized by the iBB-IST team and the GreenCoLab – Associação Oceano Verde, and is scheduled on the 6 December between 14:00h -18:00h in room 02.2, Centro de Congressos of IST- Alameda. The 1st iBB Workshop will be held at the IST congress center on the 29th of October. This will be a great opportunity to discuss the future of bioengineering and biosciences research, to debate the challenges of a scientific career, to meet distinguished invited speakers and, importantly, to foster collaborative research within the iBB research community.
