Joana Boura willl be defending her Ph D thesis in Biotechnology at Instituto Superior Técnico, thursday the 18th June 2015 (13:30 H, TagusPark campus, room 1.38). During the last years, and under the supervision of  Cláudia Lobato Silva and Catarina Madeira from BERG-iBB ,  and Maria da Graça Almeida-Porada from the Wake Forest School of Medicine, Joana has investigated the use of non-viral vectors to modify human mesenchymal stem cells with the aim of developing immunotherapy strategies.  The title of her thesis is “Novel immunotherapy strategies with genetically-engineered human mesenchymal stem cells using non-viral vectors”.
