Devo and the B-52’s are hitting the road for a co-headline tour this autumn. Billed as a continuation of the farewell tours both bands announced earlier in the decade, the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour will take the bands from Toronto to Houston between late September and early November. Lene Lovich supports. Check out the itinerary below.
In a press release, several band members had something to say, starting with the B-52’s’ Fred Schneider: “In 2022, I swore I’d never get on a tour bus again,” he said. “But we were careful to say to our fans that we would still perform in special situations that don’t require all of the awful tour travel. Our Vegas residency is going great, and when we were offered the chance to do a small run of shows with Devo, we all said this is an extraordinary opportunity we couldn't say no to.”

Eventbrite's new lineup feature lets event organizers showcase music performers with dedicated artist profiles including high-resolution photos, descriptions, and social links directly within event listings. The tool helps venues present their shows with high-quality listings while making it easier for fans to discover new artists.
"The live music world is about so much more than just selling tickets,” said Ted Dworkin, Eventbrite Chief Product Officer. “Fans are looking for more than just big-name headliners. Fans want to discover new artists, connect with like-minded people, and be part of something bigger. Eventbrite has become the go-to place where these music communities naturally connect, and this new tool gives organizers better ways to highlight their artists and connect with potential fans who might not have found them otherwise. We're helping bridge that gap between someone streaming music at home and actually showing up to experience it live."

When a judge dismissed an appeal by prolific ticket tout Peter Hunter and his husband and accomplice David Smith against their landmark conviction for fraud, he sounded an alarm. The evidence, he said in a 2021 judgement, suggested the possibility of "connivance and collusion" between ticketing companies and touts, who buy up tickets for live events in bulk and sell them to the public at inflated prices.
A different judge sentencing another group of ticket touts for fraud, including the self-styled "Ticket Queen" Maria Chenery-Woods, last year raised similar concerns and suggested the possibility some ticketing sites had been "complicit" in the touts making "substantial profits" by reselling tickets.
