What’s on Noah Assad’s list of things to complete in the weeks leading up to July 11, the opening night of Bad Bunny’s historic 30-date residency at Coliseo de Puerto Rico?
“We’re going to need to open up some more seats,” Assad, 35, tells Variety. “Right now, even if my cousin called me and asked me for a ticket, there’s nothing left. We even considered opening seats in restricted viewing areas to get more people inside because that’s how badly people want in.”

Few major festivals have come from such humble beginnings as Budapest’s Sziget Festival.
What started as a student event in 1993 now, quite literally, takes over an entire island on the Danube river, Hungary. Over the years, they’ve welcomed everyone from R.E.M, Oasis and The Cure to then up-and-coming acts Dua Lipa and Lewis Capaldi. This year’s six day edition sees Charli XCX, Post Malone, Chappell Roan, Shawn Mendes, A$AP Rocky and Anyma as headline acts. It’s a festival line-up that represents changing music tastes for modern, increasingly more demanding music fans.

Devo and the B-52’s are hitting the road for a co-headline tour this autumn. Billed as a continuation of the farewell tours both bands announced earlier in the decade, the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour will take the bands from Toronto to Houston between late September and early November. Lene Lovich supports. Check out the itinerary below.
In a press release, several band members had something to say, starting with the B-52’s’ Fred Schneider: “In 2022, I swore I’d never get on a tour bus again,” he said. “But we were careful to say to our fans that we would still perform in special situations that don’t require all of the awful tour travel. Our Vegas residency is going great, and when we were offered the chance to do a small run of shows with Devo, we all said this is an extraordinary opportunity we couldn't say no to.”

Maine’s Democratic Governor Janet Mills signed into law on Wednesday a bill imposing new consumer protections in event ticketing, including a cap on resale prices in the secondary market.
The legislation, titled Maine Public Law Chapter 354, affects both primary and secondary ticketing and aims to make the concert ticket-buying experience more consumer-friendly.
Under the new law, all ticket sellers are required to clearly disclose the total price of tickets, including all mandatory fees, and to display that total price more prominently than any other pricing information.

Eventbrite's new lineup feature lets event organizers showcase music performers with dedicated artist profiles including high-resolution photos, descriptions, and social links directly within event listings. The tool helps venues present their shows with high-quality listings while making it easier for fans to discover new artists.
"The live music world is about so much more than just selling tickets,” said Ted Dworkin, Eventbrite Chief Product Officer. “Fans are looking for more than just big-name headliners. Fans want to discover new artists, connect with like-minded people, and be part of something bigger. Eventbrite has become the go-to place where these music communities naturally connect, and this new tool gives organizers better ways to highlight their artists and connect with potential fans who might not have found them otherwise. We're helping bridge that gap between someone streaming music at home and actually showing up to experience it live."
