En el ámbito de la investigación siempre se ha apostado por recurrir a bases de datos científicas de pago, abonando las instituciones educativas unas tasas por la licencia para su uso por parte de la comunidad científica. Sin embargo, existen numerosas bases de datos científicas, algunas más potentes que las comerciales, que la gran mayoría de los investigadores y profesorado universitario desconoce. Via Oskar Almazan

Web of Science aglutina sobre unos 170 millones de documentos, mientras que Scopus sobre 70 millones. Dimensions tiene 134 millones de documentos registrados y Base 321 millones de documentos, siendo la que más Google Schoolar con más de 350 millones de documentos. En España tenemos a Dialnet que es muy consultada por el alumnado universitario pero posee solamente 8 millones de registros.

The expansion of evidence-based practice across sectors has lead to an increasing variety of review types. However, the diversity of terminology used means that the full potential of these review types may be lost amongst a confusion of indistinct and misapplied terms. Fourteen review types and associated methodologies were analyzed against the SALSA framework, illustrating the inputs and processes of each review type. A description of the key characteristics is given, together with perceived strengths and weaknesses. A limited number of review types are currently utilized within the health information domain.

A la hora de citar y presentar la lista de referencias bibliográficas se pueden emplear diferentes estilos y normas internacionales de redacción de bibliografías. La selección del estilo o norma puede venir recomendada por el tutor del trabajo, al que siempre se debe consultar; también puede ser prescrita por la propia universidad o por la revista o congreso, en el caso de publicaciones de investigadores. Une vez seleccionado un estilo de cita y referencia se debe usar el mismo estilo para citar y referenciar todos los documentos a lo largo del trabajo. Entre los estilos más difundidos se encuentran los que a continuación presentamos, junto a enlaces y guías que sirven para construir citas y referencias bibliográficas. Cada alumno debe consultar las áreas a las que son aplicables y utilizar el estilo que mejor se adapte a su disciplina.

This technical report describes the educational response to COVID-19 in Spain during the 2020-2021 academic year. The study focused on compulsory education and it was designed as a qualitative research with a sample of 34 participants, including school leaders, teachers, families and students from different types of schools and regions in Spain. The main conclusions describe an uncertain start of the school year, but gradually, the choice of face-to-face teaching as the main instruction mode revealed successful in general terms. However, some problems appeared concerning students with special needs, relevant changes in teaching methodology and about the use of blended learning in Secondary Education, which is considered to have been quite problematic or even unsuccessful. On the positive side, a deep revision of the curriculum by schools and teachers, and the reduced ratio of students per teacher to keep interpersonal distance, may have compensated the difficulties during this academic year. This report also includes a Spanish version of the research results in its annex.

Para cualquier investigación, entendiéndola como una búsqueda, es vital la ubicación y/o identificación de referencias o fuentes adecuadas para cada tema particular del que se pretenda lograr algún conocimiento, en este sentido y para facilidad de los cursantes de distintas cátedras de la UCV, se preparó un breve listado de los sitios de consulta disponibles en línea de las bibliotecas de la universidad.
