Google has stated that “quality content” is a main factor in search engine positioning. Quality content is user friendly, relevant and unique. Sites that adopt these guidelines will enjoy better search engine positioning. The importance of unique content cannot be stressed enough. A common problem with low ranking websites is that they have failed to invest in website copywriters and simply copy/paste from the suppliers’ sites, or plagiarize. This is understandable. If you want to rank well on Google, unique content is vital! Learn more about quality content here.

According to Greek myth, when the semi-god Prometheus stole fire from the heaven, Zeus, king of the gods, took revenge through Pandora who released into the world sickness, death and many unknown evils which were contained in a jar that was in her care. Though she hastened to close the jar, only one thing was left behind, usually translated as “Hope,” though it could also have the pessimistic meaning of "deceptive expectation".

Are ScreenLock and FaceDown Mental Illnesses? - J. Thomas/BlackHorseMedia

Are ScreenLock and FaceDown Mental Illnesses? - J. Thomas/BlackHorseMedia | Lavorare Internet in Internet in onestà e coscienza | Scoop.it

The most serious epidemic humankind has ever faced has swept the planet and has already affected billions of people; from the poorest illiterate rural villager to the people who have money and education. It affects young and old, black and white, Boyz and Girlz. It takes many different forms, but the result is the same; screenlock.

The Japanese have another name for it: ‘Facedown.’ Staring at that tiny screen for most of your waking hours. Oh sure, you watch Game of Thrones on your 72” 8K smartTV. But from the moment you wake up to the moment you fall asleep, you are engaged with and by that tiny little screen. That, amigos, is a form of mental illness.

It would be different if watching that screen was informing you of current events, or teaching you the Electric Sun theory, or even telling you the names of the plants and animals you see every day, but know nothing about.

Au contraire, mon ami. Numero uno, it’s impossible to actually see anything on that tiny little screen unless it is used in landscape mode, which nobody does. It blows peoples minds when I inform them that the phone was originally intended to be used this way.

The reason everyone uses portrait mode is so they can type with one thumb. Spoiler Alert: anything that can be typed with one thumb is not important. Indeed, most of the cellular data being sold for extortionate fees by the telecoms is used for frivolous purposes, social networking being the most abused.

I’ve observed toddlers, teenagers, and alleged adults so involved in their games they wouldn’t even make eye contact, let alone interact. Some people are so addled they can’t look away for 10 seconds straight. The problem is they don’t know how to interact because they never have to. I totally understand the need to disengage from the real world. I too have spent countless hours on mindless “entertainment.”

But some of that entertainment were things that might be considered art and literature. I have read hundreds of books, including the Holy Bible cover-to-cover. Twice. Great stuff; some of it even accurate. The Bhagdad Gita is a fun read, as is the I-Ching. Siddartha is still cool. The Master and Margarita and Captain Corelli’s Mandolin are lessons in poetry as narrative.

But nobody reads anything longer than a tweet on their tiny little screens. Nobody actually reads entire articles on their phone. Nobody scrolls below the ‘fold,’ or visits multiple pages on a website. Nobody spends more than a few seconds on any one app, unless it’s a game or their significant other. Nobody reads anymore; and that’s why the Elites continue to literally  get away with murder.

Nobody does multiple searches or anything like serious research on their phones; and yet many people forgo getting computers because all they do is WhatsUp and MyFace. Oh, and actually watch videos and movies in portrait mode. Saints preserve us…..

Fortunately screen-lock or Facedown aren’t necessarily fatal, unless you die taking a selfie with a speeding train, from a vertigo-inducing height, or with a dangerous animal. Oh wait, many people have died doing exactly those things. Oh well, natural selection is a cruel master.

Since screenlock is more of a learned behavior than an organic disorder, de-programming is possible. I’ve found that immersing oneself in Nature to be the best way to overcome this addiction. The world is out there; not in there. And if you’re watching mainstream media, including the most popular so-so networking sites, you’re being given the mushroom treatment. That is, you’re being kept in the dark and fed shit.

What, you think the truth is freely available to the Talking Heads who read teleprompters? That the Powers That Be want an informed and/or enlightened electorate? Everything you see in the MSM is lies, damned lies, disinformation, half-truths, innuendo, gossip, propaganda, talking points, official statements, here-say, trash news, and did I mention damned lies? If you want the truth, you won’t find it in a tweet on your phone.

Lest We Forget? Western Amnesia About Soviet Role in WWII Victory Has Some Disturbing Aspects - John Laughland/RT Op-ed

Lest We Forget? Western Amnesia About Soviet Role in WWII Victory Has Some Disturbing Aspects - John Laughland/RT Op-ed | Lavorare Internet in Internet in onestà e coscienza | Scoop.it
In the autumn of 1944, 75 years ago, the Red Army reached the borders of the German Reich; cities such as Minsk, Vilnius, and Brest having been liberated in July as Soviet forces swept West.

The sour attitude of the Balts is part of a much bigger problem, namely a self-congratulatory Western amnesia about the role of the Soviet Union in WWII. It is safe to say that the German-Russian war of 1941-1945 was by far the bloodiest conflict in human history; and moreover that the fighting in the East dwarfed anything that happened in the West.

Hitler’s occupation of Western Europe was nothing but a prelude to his real goal, the subjection of Eastern Europe and parts of the Soviet Union to German domination in pursuit of the Nazi project of establishing “living space” (Lebensraum) for ethnic Germans there.

Yet, the decisive role of the USSR in defeating Nazi Germany has been eradicated from the collective memory of the West – President Putin was not even invited to this year’s Normandy celebrations – and instead the war is remembered only as a victory for liberal democracies against two equally evil totalitarianisms.

Did you know it is definitely arrogant that humans think they can control nature instead of letting it do what it does best? Artificial in any sense is toxic whether it is for the planet or for humans, or other creatures living on Planet Earth.

Health Tips:

Artificial is also what animal based is to your body. The human body other than our pancreas is basically the same as it was in the time before the advent of fire. Our ancestors ate what grew in the soil. Dr Richard Leaky, paleontologist/scientist studied the teeth of these ancestors. They didn’t have teeth for grinding meat. They were gatherers, not hunters. We have the same teeth today.

"America:" A Nation of Xenophobic Refugees - J.Thomas/BlackHorseMedia

"America:" A Nation of Xenophobic Refugees - J.Thomas/BlackHorseMedia | Lavorare Internet in Internet in onestà e coscienza | Scoop.it

“America” is a nation of xenophobic refugees, just one of it’s many sociopathic contradictions. The myth of "Coming To America" has been so inculcated into our culture that most people believe everyone who came to this country did so voluntarily, “seeking a better life.” Ha.

Most of the Europeans who came to “The Americas;” North, South, Central, or the Caribbean, did so out of necessity. Most people are not “adventurous.” Most people have no desire to leave their families, friends, and possessions (however meager they may be), get on a tiny, leaky, scurvy-ridden boat whose Captain might also double as a pirate, whose navigator might aim for Boston and end up in Brazil, and whose crew might mutiny because they run out of rum. Or you might be “Shanghaied,” and be forced to become part of the crew. Your ship might be attacked by pirates, or captured by a rival nation. You might fall off the edge of the world, or be eaten by sea-monsters.

And when you got to the “New World,” you might succumb to malaria, yellow fever; or simply starve to death, unless you figure out how to live off the land, immediamente. The people who were living there before your arrival might take issue with you dispossessing them, and kill you and the horse you rode in on. You might be bitten by any number of venomous snakes, or eaten by any number of fantastical beasts like alligators, crocodiles, anacondas, bears, pumas, or jaguars.

So no, it wasn’t “Hey honey, tell the kids we’re going to America next week, and start packing.” It was some kind of act of desperation. Running from the High Sheriff, a debt, a jealous husband, war, or famine was the reason most Europeans came to The Americas. Most likely, the only way you could afford passage for such a luxury as sailing across the Atlantic ocean was to indenture yourself to some wealthy “landowner,” and work off your debt as a servant, peon, or laborer. Or you could sign on as crew, and abandon ship at the first opportunity. That is, if you didn’t get caught up in a mutiny, act of piracy, fall off the rigging while working, fall overboard while drunk, or during a brawl, or during a drunken brawl, get sick and die (no ship’s doctor) from any number of contagious diseases, or sink during a storm, or run aground.

No, it wasn’t until well into the 19th Century that it became relatively safe enough to make the voyage (especially “around the Horn”), and the America’s were pacified enough that you were relatively safe from the pissed-off locals. It should be noted that more “settlers” were killed by their fellow Europeans; range wars (not counting the Civil War), accidents, animal attacks, and exposure, than were killed by the pissed-off locals. But of course that wasn’t in the brochure. It never is, even today. No, it was some version of “Come to America and get rich, quick!” So, the first waves of non-refugees were hucksters, gamblers, craftsmen, and merchants. But mostly hucksters, as is evidenced by our present milieu, as well as by our Supreme Leader.....

A Reminder That 'Fake News' Is An Information Literacy Problem - Not A Technology Problem - FORBES

A Reminder That 'Fake News' Is An Information Literacy Problem - Not A Technology Problem - FORBES | Lavorare Internet in Internet in onestà e coscienza | Scoop.it
Beneath the spread of all “fake news,” misinformation, disinformation, digital falsehoods and foreign influence lies society’s failure to teach its citizenry information literacy: how to think critically about the deluge of information that confronts them in our modern digital age. Instead, society has prioritized speed over accuracy, sharing over reading, commenting over understanding. Children are taught to regurgitate what others tell them and to rely on digital assistants to curate the world rather than learn to navigate the informational landscape on their own. Schools no longer teach source triangulation, conflict arbitration, separating fact from opinion, citation chaining, conducting research or even the basic concept of verification and validation. In short, we’ve stopped teaching society how to think about information, leaving our citizenry adrift in the digital wilderness increasingly saturated with falsehoods without so much as a compass or map to help them find their way to safety. The solution is to teach the world's citizenry the basics of information literacy.
