ENERGY BITS is a cross-media project on sustainable energy and energy saving, supported by Intelligent Energy Europe (European Commission),with the aim to stimulate behavioural change and promote innovative pratices among the 14-18 years old. Its ressource platform propose a collection of 24 documentaries, a webdocumentary, participative tools and a serious game in 9 languages.

The Climate Reality Project is guided by one simple truth--climate crisis is real and we know how to solve it. The Climate Reality Project is bringing the facts about climate change into the mainstream, engaging the public in positive conversation to develop solutions.

To find out the mystery, IFREE has two subjects, "Researches on Dynamics along Plate Subduction Zones" and "Researches on evolution of the oceanic crust and the mantle". We conduct a research and an observation on the seas of the world.

A sustainable future will need to consider environmental, social and economic factors and the 10 One Planet principles and their associated Common International Targets have been developed in recognition of this. However, BioRegional subscribes to the view that society or the economy cannot exist long term outside of a healthy environment and consequently there are three overarching environmental drivers behind the One Planet initiative:

• Clean (non-polluting) activites

Few areas can benefit as much from the force of Open Access as climate change research: the combination of public, scientific, and governmental interest with the mounting misinformation, unsubstantiated opinions, and unsourced data make public access to original, well-reported, and peer-reviewed climate change research of utmost importance.

This collection comprises of climate research highlighting efforts from a range of disciplines (alternative energy production, geoengineering, behavioural psychology and science policy) focussed on mitigating and adapting to the effects of the changing climate.

PLOS ONE's wide scope and broad publication criteria make it a perfect venue to collate and curate relevant articles in these vastly differing areas of research into one place. Our hope is that by encouraging and facilitating further research, replication, and sharing of both positive and negative results, this Collection will become a catalyst for continued climate research and policy formation.

Climate science from climate scientists...

RealClimate is a commentary site on climate science by working climate scientists for the interested public and journalists. We aim to provide a quick response to developing stories and provide the context sometimes missing in mainstream commentary. The discussion here is restricted to scientific topics and will not get involved in any political or economic implications of the science. All posts are signed by the author(s), except ‘group’ posts which are collective efforts from the whole team. This is a moderated forum.

The One Planet Communities programme uses 10 guiding principles as a framework to help our partners examine the sustainability challenges they face and develop appropriate solutions.

These principles were developed as a result of lessons learned from BioRegional’s work at the pioneering BedZED eco-village in South London.

By applying the princples at the design, construction and long-term management stages of a development we should be able to create places where it is easy, attractive and affordable for people to live within a fair share of our planet’s resources.
