A team of researchers who were funded through an ESRC 'Urgency' Grant in 2014-15 have been recognised for their contribution to public debate and policy by @RoyalHistSoc at its Public History Prize awards 2018.

All three authors of the article are either receiving ESRC-funding or have been awarded ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowships. Dr Philip Kirby is currently studying ludic geopolitics and popular expressions of militarism, as part of a collaborative ESRC project with the universities of Portsmouth and Royal Holloway.
