Pour 75% des salariés d’une entreprise, l’aménagement de l’espace de travail et le mobilier des bureaux sont considérés comme des facteurs déterminants (Garreau). À l’heure où la qualité de vie au travail (QVT) représente, selon le baromètre ACTINEO-TNS/Sofrès, leur second critère le plus important, il paraît difficilement concevable pour une entreprise de négliger cet aspect de la vie en entreprise.

According to Gallup’s 2013 State of the Global Workplace survey, just 13 percent of worldwide employees say they are engaged at work. In the U.S., where engagement is at 30%, Gallup estimates that active disengagement (18% of the workforce) costs the economy $450 billion to $550 billion per year.
