"A majority of teachers report engaging students in active learning with classroom technology. Thirty percent of K-5 teachers, 29 percent of 6-8 teachers, and 29 percent of 9-12 teachers reported daily or near-daily active learning experiences with classroom technology. Twenty-five percent of K-5 teachers report weekly use, along with 30 percent of 6-8 teachers and 31 percent of 9-12 teachers.

Students reported more instances of passive technology use, however."

Tenemos que conseguir que los estudiantes se impliquen en su aprendizaje, sentirse motivados, desafiados y apoyados. Esto requiere de estrategias que integren prácticas, resolución de problemas del mundo real, aprendizaje colaborativo y herramientas interactivas que fomenten el pensamiento crítico. Si un estudiante ve la aplicación del conocimiento aprendido, su compromiso aumenta significativamente. 

Un aspecto importante es la equidad en el acceso a la educación en línea. Debe de ser inclusiva, ofreciendo oportunidades a todos los estudiantes. La educación en línea es una herramienta poderosa para democratizar el aprendizaje. Con dicha educación digital, se logra experiencias autenticas que ayudan los alumnos alcanzar sus metas. 

Los docentes, tenemos que usar plataformas digitales y contenidos centrados en ellos para optimizar la experiencia del estudiante.
