The demand for installation of AppleTV devices at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, has increased from 2014 to 2015.  In 2014, only one classroom had an AppleTV device.  Before the 2015 Fall semester, approximately 20  AppleTV device were installed.

Robots are not created to replace the teacher.  Robots are implemented to aid students or teachers with disabilities.  In this article, robots help a 7th grade student attend live classes at his school from home.  The student is unable to leave his home premises due to that he suffers from cancer.   A robotics invention helps the student get that live classroom experience.

I have been using Surface Pro tablets to present meetings.  One of the major reasons that I use a Surface table is mobility and the ability to project my content wireless to a projector.  At the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, all of the classrooms are in the process of being updated with wireless projection devices such as Miracast for android and Windows platforms, and AppleTV for iPads and iPhones.

Holographic Telepresence is a great tool that can be used to present live lectures anywhere in the world.  This tool is very useful for universities that have different campuses in different geographical locations.  The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley has two major campuses; Edinburg, TX and Brownsville, TX.  Instead of students traveling to a different city to attend classes, Holographic Telepresence will allow a remote teacher to present their content live in a classroom in their students' home campus.
