Active learning - at YOUR neighborhood library - finding and using the best resources - with the help of your local librarian. It's not just books, anymore. Learning and literacy incorporates information from EVERWHERE.

Good video to use in promoting our library programs.

This is the easiest way to go. It's not scholarly, but it's reminding users that the images have been created by others and granting permission to be used.

There is no excuse. If you want an education, it is as near as your phone. Use it to learn something.

For those that are lifelong learners  and in the learning mode as opposed to the knowing mode.  Let me count the ways to get a message across no matter what the age of the student is.

Marzano's famous "Nine" continue to be the topic of many professional development agendas, and continue to deliver research-based and improved student outcomes.  A "must-know" for the teaching vocation.

This is a keeper!

Could be worth investigating this tool for e-portefolio

This looks like a great way for my students to find information about careers that are of interest to them.

I also like that the ePortfolio can follow the student and allows each teacher to see prior work writing samples to get an authentic look at where the student is performing. It is a built in "needs assessment!"

A summary of key points in the report include:
- a review of the global environment in which modern learners and educators are immersed,
- the educational implications of trends affecting contemporary schooling,
- the means of evaluating education outcomes, and
- key alerts on the critical role of the teacher librarian.
