I like providing online students with screencasts (using Jing or Snagit) and Softchalks with screenshots. Other instructors like to provide a video intro each week using YouTube MyWebcam, and still others like to use myBrainshark to add audio to their PowerPoints for their students.

I like Snagit vs Jing, since I like the screen shot markup better and you can create videos you can upload to YouTube (any length vs 5 min). You can't upload Jing videos to YouTube. I also like Screen-Cast-O-Matic to create quick videos (max of 15 min). With Screen-Cast-O-Matic, you can create screen casts or webcam videos or picture-in-picture screencasts.
