If the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation can avoid the same mistakes it has made in the past, its latest K–12 reform efforts will be more successful than many of its past education projects, according to a policy memo published by the National Education Policy Center.

Great tips (and a bit ironic): Don't rely too heavily on technology and data, involve the community (teachers and parents), don't expect immediate progress, realize what happens outside of school (poverty/racism),  plus more common sense suggestions..

I do use Screencast-O-Matic and recommend Office Mix if you use PowerPoints, but haven't used Snip much and Sway has a learning curve..other than Screencast-O-Matic, I really wonder how accessible these (and most) ed tech tools are..that seems to take a back burner...

Technology allows the personal and professional growth. Being aware of how useful and meaningful technology is allows us to take advantage of all the benefits Of the ICT's. Since we just get used to have access to internet everywhere, we don't go beyond and we don't realize about the uncountable positive factors technology provides to us.
