There seems to be this idea among instructors and teachers that if there was just a room, with video equipment, at your school or college, that creating videos would be easy. You'd walk in, breeze out, and have a video you could post in your LMS or web site. Sorry, it isn't so.. No comment yet.

I like screen-cast-o-matic-I use it and taught my students how to use it and a number of them now submit videos instead of screen shots or word documents for their assignments.. you can record your screen, a web cam, or a picture in a picture (a tiny web cam pic), too.

Maybe at some universities there are faculty members waiting in line to work on their videos at the college media lab (with staff or alone), but it doesn't seem to be popular. Why? It's a lot easier to create a video with your phone, an app or a simple tool.
