Remember Microsoft’s clip art? Neither did I until this week, when Redmond announced that clip art gallery is going the way of Clippy.

Microsoft Office will now default to  Bing images (customized to only display Creative Commons images), but I'd prefer to search Bing for public domain images, so you don't have to do anything special, like keep track of the artist and give credit to them, among other things.


If you use Google Image, you'll have to search in Google Image for Creative Commons images too and know how to use them as well.


I like flickrcc.net  for Creative Commons images-I like the images better and it gives you a good start on creating your attribution.
