Google announced today the release of a new important feature to Explore in Google Docs. Explore can quickly add a citation of your choice.

Just tried out the Explore icon in the lower right corner of a Google Doc: you can search a topic, choose an article, then in the document choose the type of citation you wanted created at the top of the document, and click on Cite as Footnote. It adds a footnote fully formatted with links to your document.

Well, I've just tried this out at home and it's really good - very impressed. Would love to know how well this would work in the classroom. Doesn't seem to add punctuation other than full stops, but could be a useful feature for some pupils.
